  • Usenet Hierarchy Admin Meeting

    The members of the Big-8 Management Board would like to arrange a meeting between ourselves and other Usenet Hierarchy administrators. We already reached to a few hierarchy admins but in case any admins did not get an
    email from me, this article will hopefully reach a few others.

    The goal for this meeting would be a general meet-and-greet as well as to discuss some challenges that we face such as getting news servers to honor control messages.

    We currently meet weekly on Fridays for video chat at 16:00 CEST/10:00
    EDT. Please let me know if you would be interested in meeting with us one
    week in August or September and what day would work for you.

    Do you have any idea to improve the adoption of new PGP keys?
    (especially the new one of the Big-Eight)

    Did you notice that the latest control articles were not honoured on a
    large portion of news servers?

    Unfortunately, it seems that most commercial news servers and web
    interfaces (like Google Groups) don't mind at all control messages...
    And I don't think we can change their policy...
