The log shows:
pkg: Failed to fetch https://pkgbase.FreeBSD.org/FreeBSD:15:amd64/base_release/meta.conf: No
error
The same for the files
meta.txz, data.pkg, data.tzst, packagesite.pkg and packagesite.tzst.
Network is working, DNS too. I used tcpdump and the queries were for
SRV _https._tcp.pkgbase.FreeBSD.org and the result was cloudfront.aws.pkgbase.freebsd.org:443
That name was also successfully resolved.
Where is the issue?
I would suggest to check whether date/time is correct.

I would suggest to check whether date/time is correct.
Thanks!
That was the issue. The installer does not run time sync and when the
CMOS battery was removed, the date was set to 2008...
