The 2026Q1 branch has been created. It means that the next update on the quarterly packages will be on the 2026Q1 branch.

A lot of things happened in the last three months:
- pkg 2.5.1
- New USES: sudo, xlibre, electron, dbus-testing
- Removed USES: alias
- Default version of Lazarus switched to 4.4
- Default version of Perl switched to 5.42
- Default version of go switched to 1.24
- Default version of php switched to 8.4
- Default version of gcc switched to 14
- Chromium 143.0.7499.192
- electron 38 and 39
- Firefox 147.0.0
- Firefox-esr 140.7.0
- KDE Gear 25.12.0
- KDE Frameworks 6.21.0
- KDE Plasma 6.5.4
- nodejs 24 (tls)
- nodejs 25
- python 3.13 and 3.14
- Ruby 3.4.6
- Rust 1.92.0
- Rockly linux 9.7
- Java 25

Next quarterly package builds will start on soon, and
should be available on your closest mirrors in a few days later.
