Hi void,
We do not supply this port anymore.
Please disable the LZMA option and try again.
I ran make rmconfig on /usr/ports/databases/tokyocabinet after deleting and >>> re-fetching the ports tree and now its working.
What confused me was there was no databases/tokyocabinet on the system
or in
the ports.list. The ports.list was generated with 'pkg prime-origin'
I guess something stale in /var/db/ports/options
Sometimes when ports get removed/renamed, other ports that depend on it
through a non-default don't always get adjusted which itself is a bug
and should be reported as such.
If `make config` (including all of its variants like config-recursive
and config-conditional) can somehow mark non-default options as such,
it would be helpful. (Not sure how it can be implemented, though.)
Totally agree. Running make config can identify new options since
last saving which is a start. I could have sworn there was a '*' or
something to indicate when things are changed but I don't usually use it anymore. It would be nice to be able to choose to select, not select, or
leave the setting on automatic as its default. Just knowing a setting is
not matching default would be a useful step in the meantime.
I use poudriere to do my local ports builds and I never use `make
config` beyond testing how ports interface looks if working on a port
and sometimes showconfig to review my choices. I use entries inside of poudriere's copy of make.conf which lets me enable/disable options
globally so they apply without going through every relevant dialog to
make sure its active there too, lets me do it for individual ports in
case its something I don't want to actually set globally or I need to
override a global change that is breaking a port, it puts all of my
changes is 1 common place to more easily review and edit them, and I can
leave comments beside changes so I don't forget why I have done
something with my bad memory. Anyways it let me achieve the ability to
set some options and leave others to their defaults.
About the best I can currently think of is either saving `make
showconfig` output and then repeat after removing config to save it to a second file to get a diff. You then need to manually restore the
settings, that is most reliable if you backup the corresponding entry
from under /var/db/ports .
But it possibly mean /var/db/ports/*/options needs additional line
something like _FILE_DEFAULT_OPTIONS_LIST= line recorded
to compare with in-ports OPTIONS_DEFAULT* lines efficiently.
(Wouldn't be mandatory if analyzed everytime `make config` is invoked.)
Regards.
