  • Distance from tank to generator too long?

    I have a Generac whole house generator (22 KW) powered by a buried 500 gallon propane tank. This is a relatively new installation, and I have been getting various errors when the auto test is activated. The most recent was error 1100 - over crank. I am concerned that the distance from the propane tank to the generator might be too long - it is about 100 feet.
    Any comments?

    Ask on alt.home.repair. There are still a few do it yourself types there.
