I had to look of course. The newscast is about 5 1/2 minutes in on this clip.
<https://archive.org/details/hee-haw-1983>. Sammy Davis Jr. is singing with Roy Clark
and the band after that.
I grew up listening to what's called classic rock now.
I didn't know until later that Owens and Clark were super good. Country Music Hall of Fame
good. It didn't hurt the show a bit that there were some really pretty women on.
