For example, to design a five stage CPU, it took billions
of tokens for the LLM-AI to noodle-out the design, even
though the training set has plenty of info regarding
previous architectures. The article describing this, did
not state whether the design was done at the gate level
as a netlist or not. Now, tell me, Obiwan, how much
does "billions of tokens" cost on a monthly bill ?
You'll need to drive a bullion truck up to the AI Data Center
and just park it there. "Is it worth it?" What do you think?
Regrettably, the humans, the Jim Kellers of the world,
their job is safe. As to replace them, it is bullion truck time.
Real processors are much more complex than this, and deeper.
The Apple M1 in particular, I'd always assumed that was
an AI style job, before AI was even on the horizon.
To replace you at your envelope stuffing job, yes, you're doomed
and you are destined to live in a tent on the sidewalk in
San Francisco. But you were also doomed 20 years ago, when
they made the envelope-stuffing-machine. And that's when you
started making tie-die Tshirts and opened that flower shop.
Maybe today you are a wheel-polisher at the BEV dealership.
