    Apple announced on Monday that CEO Tim Cook is stepping down from the role
    on Sept. 1, a position herCOs held since 2011.

    Cook will be succeeded by SVP of hardware engineering John Ternus, but will stay on as chairman.

    Apple stock declined less than 1% in after-market trading following the
    news.

    He's been very successful in taking over after such a iconic founder. He
    has built Apple into a phenomenally efficient, effective and even more desirable company.

    I guess the big miss is AI and it'll be interesting to see what the new
    CEO's direction will be.
