From Newsgroup: gnu.emacs.help

In my .emacs I have:
(load-theme 'manoj-dark)
(set-foreground-color "yellow")

But my foreground colour stay white.
The command itself is not wrong, because when I put my cursor behind
it and enter 'C-x e' the foreground colour is changed to yellow.

What could be happening here?

By the way, this gives a yellow foreground colour:
(progn
(load-theme 'manoj-dark)
(set-foreground-color "yellow"))
