Hi,

In rcirc there is a minor mode that tracks activity
in the chat channels. When activity in a channel is
seen, it puts the abbreviated channel or nick name
in the mode line.

When two or more buffers are displayed side by side,
this notification is no longer visuable, because it
is placed rather in the right hand side in the
mode line.

Is it possible to move this notification more to
the left in the mode line?
