My keyboard macros refuse to repeat more than a few times.
If I apply a large repeat count, the macro terminates with errors like this: "After 49 kbd macro iterations: funcall-interactively: Args out of range: [f9], -1"
(I have F9 bound to call-last-kbd-macro. Also fails if I use "C-u 50 C-x e".) If I apply a small repeat count, e.g. 48, it works.

Any thoughts on what is failing?
