From Newsgroup: gnu.emacs.help

emacs gives version number and help file but no full screen editor.

I used to run a newer version (like 22 or 25) of emacs on this
machine but ran into trouble with repartitioning..
tho I may have messed up autoexec/config

CWSDPMI already was in the bin directory when unpacked

Any clues?
