Summary description: Named dates, calendar conversion, and date formatting for LaTeX
Announcement text: ------------------------------------------------------------------------
The datemultical package is now available on CTAN.
datemultical provides a unified interface for defining, converting,
and formatting named dates in multiple calendar systems in LaTeX.
It includes a built-in TeX backend for the Gregorian, Solar Hijri,
and Lunar Hijri calendars, as well as an extended LuaLaTeX backend
using lua-calendrica for a wide range of historical, astronomical,
and traditional calendars.
The package provides field-based date retrieval, customizable date
formatting patterns, predefined date styles, calendar-specific month
and weekday names, and support for leap-year, leap-month, and leap-day
information. Persian localization and high-level Persian date and
weekday commands are also included.
Version 0.1.0 is the initial release of datemultical.
