  • Problem in greek.lbx?

    Hi,

    on Saturday I upgraded my MikTeX
    installation, since then I get an error
    message that in line 633 of greek.lbx
    (2026/08/13 v3.22) a paragraph ended before
    \DeclareBibliographyStrings is complete.

    Apparently, the command starts in line 124:
    \DeclareBibliographyStrings{%
    and that curly bracket is never closed.

    If I add that closing bracket in line 633,
    111 undefined control sequence errors occur.

    Yes, they broke the last biblatex update. See:

    https://github.com/plk/biblatex/issues/1489

    and they haven't released a version including the fix yet.

    What you can do is get the fixed greek.lbx file:

    https://raw.githubusercontent.com/plk/biblatex/refs/heads/dev/tex/latex/biblatex/lbx/greek.lbx

    and put it in the proper directory (this is
    ~/texmf/tex/latex/biblatex/lbx on my UNIX system, you need to
    figure out the equivalent for Windows) until they release a fixed
    version.
