    tikzphysics

    package.

    Version: 1.1.0
    License: lppl1.3c

Summary description: TikZ-native shapes and anchors for classical physics diagrams

    Announcement text: --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
tikzphysics 1.1.0 adds continuous straight and circular ramp node shapes, sampled contact-surface anchors, and exact local tangent and normal guides. Straight ramps include a labeled acute-angle helper; curved ramps include a configurable horizontal floor before the arc. tikzphysics

    package.

    Version: 1.2.0 2026-09-05
    License: lppl1.3c

Summary description: TikZ-native shapes and anchors for classical physics diagrams

    Announcement text: ------------------------------------------------------------------------

tikzphysics 1.2.0 adds reusable per-object defaults, native
to[over pulley=P] connections, wedge contact and tangent/normal anchors,
and mechanics primitives including supports, pendulums, and motion arrows.
The new show anchors, show keys, and physicshelp features provide
in-picture discovery of supported keys and anchors. A rewritten manual
includes a beginner quickstart, complete systems, and a 31-feature reference.

Migration: spring is now a path decoration, used as
\draw[spring] (A) -- (B);, instead of a spring node. Spring leads may be zero.
Blocks default to 1cm square and pulleys to 1cm diameter.
This release also fixes prism centroid and face-midpoint anchors.

    tikzphysics

    package.

    Version: 1.3.0
    License: lppl1.3c

Summary description: TikZ-native shapes and anchors for classical physics diagrams

    Announcement text: --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
tikzphysics 1.3.0 adds continuous tapered pulley edges to the left-, right-, and two-wall platform shapes. The pulley edge presets retain one closed, patterned platform path while providing a projecting pulley centre, an inset wall root, and named or numeric anchors along the transition. Shared and side-specific inset/drop keys support symmetric and asymmetric platforms.

The in-picture key and anchor reference includes the new controls. This
release also adds a reproducible single-file Overleaf bundle and changes the default pulley axle-dot radius from 2pt to 1.5pt. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Vaibhav Blayer submitted an update to the

    tikzphysics

    package.

    Version: 1.5.0
    License: lppl1.3c

Summary description: TikZ-native shapes and anchors for classical physics diagrams

    Announcement text: --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    tikzphysics 1.5.0

tikzphysics 1.5.0 completes percentage-anchor coverage for straight and
curved ramps, corrects wedge midpoint and centroid anchors, and extends
show anchors and show keys to native fluid nodes. The curved ramp has a
longer default floor. A revised manual and cross-module visual tour show
how to inspect nodes, paths, and pics in TikZ. Updated tests and the single-file Overleaf bundle generator are included.

    tikzphysics 1.4.0

tikzphysics 1.4.0 adds native fluid-mechanics nodes and assemblies, solid and differential elements, and a documented system of percentage anchors for platforms, ground, ceiling, and walls. The show anchors overlay now works on unnamed nodes and gives coincident points one marker with a complete table.
The release includes a rendered thirteen-page surface-anchor gallery and rejects upward platform insets that would make the outline cross itself. Updated examples, tests, manual, and the single-file Overleaf bundle are included. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    tikzphysics

    package.

    Version: 1.6.0
    License: lppl1.3c

Summary description: TikZ-native shapes and anchors for classical physics diagrams

    Announcement text: --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

tikzphysics 1.6.0 supports spring both as a named node and as a two-point path with shared coil settings. All native fluid vessels and mechanics blocks and circles now provide documented integer percentage-anchor families. Cylinder liquid endpoints, pressure-face centres, and U-tube surface placement are corrected. Debug markers draw above fills, nearby numbers use leader lines, and
reference cards clear the geometry. Updated manual, direction tables, regression
tests, rendered galleries, and the single-file Overleaf bundle generator are included.

    Version: 1.7.0
    License: lppl1.3c
Summary description: TikZ-native shapes and anchors for classical physics diagrams
    Announcement text: --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
tikzphysics 1.7.0 adds thermodynamics and thermal physics/heat transfer,
with native apparatus, equation-based PV processes and cycles, shared PV frames, latex heat-flow arrows, and integer percentage anchors. New optics include plane mirrors, plano lenses and meniscus variants. Mechanics,
fluids, solids, tracks and waves gain 23 native components. Differential centroids, projected disk visibility and cylinder height markers are fixed; projected rims expose percentage coordinates. Physical strokes now inherit native TikZ line widths. Updated documentation, visual galleries, regression tests and the single-file Overleaf runtime are included. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
