linguexx is a standalone LaTeX package for linguistic examples,
with a `linguex`-compatible input syntax and first-class support
for accessible (tagged) PDF output.
linguexx reimplements the familiar dot-syntax of linguex on the
expl3 engine, with no dependency on linguex, cgloss4e, or xspace.
It runs on pdfLaTeX, XeLaTeX and LuaLaTeX. When the document
enables the LaTeX tagging code, linguexx writes its examples
into the PDF structure tree as accessible objects.

Version 1.1 is mainly a bug-fix release,
but adds also improved gloss alignment.

Files using linguexx would not compile under pdflatex with glyphs
with certain diacritics, and linguexx was incompatible with the
French option of babel. This release fixes the problems.

linguexx 1.3 is a mainly a bugfix release, but contains several quality-of-life improvements.

New in 1.3:

* [langsci]: the \ea ... \z front-end of langsci-gb4e, driving the same
engine as the dot syntax and the exe/xlist environments -- one counter,
one label system, one set of layout parameters for all three. With
[lazy], a document can convert one example at a time.
* \GlossTransSide sets the free translation of an example in a column beside the
interlinear grid instead of underneath it, and keeps its place in the
reading order of the tagged output.
* Relative references (\Next, \Last and the rest) are clickable when
hyperref is loaded, and link only to an example the previous run actually
recorded, never to one the document does not have. They work under beamer,
where an example is typeset once per overlay.

Fixed in 1.3.2

In a tagged PDF, the spoken form of an \altn or \altg stack was attached
to an element that contained nothing. Under LuaLaTeX this happened to
every stack; under every engine, to an \altn alternative containing a
\lpzg gloss. The printed page was correct and veraPDF accepted the file,
so the defect went unnoticed. A screen reader now finds the alternatives
inside the element whose /Alt describes them.
