    Hi,

I am trying to cite a specific verse from
    Goethe's Faust: \parencite[V. 383]{Goe-08}.
    Unfortunately, the output is [2, p. V. 383].
How do I get rid of the superfluous "p."?

    Thanks in advance

What biblatex style are you using?

I don't know the answer to this one, but perhaps someone with a good
knowledge of biblatex can help; maybe on tex.stackexchange.com

There is probably a biblatex variable which holds the "p" and can be
    reset to null.
