I have a Tandy 1000 SX whose floppy suddenly started working. Powers up, but motor refuses to spin. I've tried the obvious - a different Tandy friendly cable, different floppy drive, making sure the floppy drive works in another PC, checked dip switch settings. None of the obvious fixed or diagnosed the issue, so I went as far as to replace the controller and data separator IC chips. Still nada
Can anything in here think of anything I am overlooking before I attempt to diagnose the problem with an oscilloscope or just replace the motherboard?
