• Arghh...not another problem with floppy drives

I upgraded my power supplies in my model 3 (since the originals smoked/caught on fire}. Everything looks good when I reboot EXCEPT now the previously working floppy drives no longer do. I tested the power supply voltages and they look okay. I hooked up several different floppy drives and they all do the same thing....basically nothing. When I boot the crt says "Diskette?" and the floppy drive is connected but the led never lights up or spins...I don't think its a bad floppy drive as it used to more or less work (some errors, needed cleaning} when booting before I took the model 3 apart. Any ideas? Please don't tell me it's the floppy controller....much more cost/work to fix that.
    Thanks,
    -Jeff

I tried something else. I flipped the ribbon connector around on one of the floppy drives and the led lit up but it still didn't read the boot disk and more or less hungup.
    Totally at a loss.
