I went ahead and updated my IPhone and IPad to IOS 27, my watch to 27, and
my Mac to OS 27. Everything installed with no issues and so far everything
    is working as it should.

Apparently Siri now works! Have you tried it?

The Ai version, at least on my phone, 17 Pro, is still in beta. It gives me
an option to join a waitlist for the feature, which I just enabled. Normal
Siri searches seem to work fine for me.

For those that don't want to jump into the brand new OS versions, Apple
has also released updates for some older OS versions too.

Although, you need to careful as many have reported that "26.7" is actually
    27.

Thanks. Is it bigger than iOS 26? Is your free space about the same?

To be honest, I am really not sure. I haven't been paying attention to how
much free space I have since I have plenty to spare to begin with. My guess
is that it does take up more room, but not by a whole lot.

For me 26.7 actually IS 26.7. My iPad 11 and iPhone 11 have evidently maxed out.

I shall not be rushing off to upgrade either.

Is it possible to update the system you're running without upgrading to
the next system your machine can handle, if possible?

For example, I'm running Mojave on a Mid 2014 iMac and Software Update
wants me to update to Big Sur which I don't want to do because there
are some 32-bit apps I'm running under Mojave. Also I have a 2017 iMac
right next to it that's running Ventura and can run the very latest
version of Firefox so upgrading to Big Sur on the 2014 iMac won't do me
    much good.

I actually want Apple to branch out, is the thing. They have made some
gains in the market for desktop/laptop devices, I would like to see them
do more to expand on that. That having been said, owning every device
up to and including the fuckin' "smartwatch" blows me away.

As a business Apple has to follow the market. The iphone makes the most
money, by far. The Mac market is about the same size as the smartwatch. https://www.sankeyart.com/sankeys/public/166640/

Given these numbers it's actually surprising how much Apple invests in the
Mac as Id be surprised if it gets a return on it.

You make an interesting point, that Apple maintains the Mac ecosystem
despite how it's a smaller market than their phones. It's obvious why
they would, of course, because one can't do everything with a phone, but
there are those who have dissociated from PCs and rely almost entirely
on a phone. I am interested in the fact that Apple's PC OS (macOS) has
risen in use, not that I would use it myself, but that it could continue
to if Apple expands on what they're offering.
