For more than a week I have been using now and then Ubuntu 24.06 LTS on
a GMKtec NucBox M6 Ultra AMD Ryzenrao 5 7640HS Mini PC.

    My experience so far:

    - tumblelog in docker is extremely fast [1] A speed up of close to
10x compared to a dated Mac mini late 2014. Look forward to test
    this on a Mac mini M6 :-p.
    - I managed to crash Nautilus once. Can't remember how I did it,
    though.
    - VirtualBox crashes when the lock screen comes up (always, known
    issue).
    - Tor Browser crashes when the save as / open dialog is confirmed
(always, known issue [2]). I could work around this in part by always
saving PDF files without a dialog. However, I can't change the
location as that dialog also crashes the browser :-(.
    Downloaded files end up in:
    ~/.local/share/torbrowser/tbb/x86_64/tor-browser/Browser/Downloads
Program works fine on macOS (same version).
Work around seems to be to install the program manually.
    - Trashing (moving to Trash) a file on a thumbdrive is slow (takes
    seconds) compared to on macOS.

Besides those issues I am very happy with how snappy Ubuntu feels. Disappointed that one *still* has to jump through hoops to install
things :-( (e.g. installing Docker engine the official way [3],
    installing Tor Browser manually)

[2] Has to do with how the Launcher installs Tor Browser is my
understanding. Manually installing Tor Browser should work.
    Haven't tried this yet.

I must never have tried it. Confirm Tor 15.0.20 crashes on save on Ubuntu 26.04.

    torbrowser-launcher/resolute,now 0.3.9-1build1 amd64 [installed]

Appears to be an Ubuntu problem. I can save files on Fedora 45 (beta).

    Thanks for checking.

Yeah, and from what I've read a Linux Mint issue as well.

Is Nautilus also somewhat unstable? I managed to crash it a second time
:-D. Again I can't recall what exactly I did to crash it.

I don't use it very often but I haven't had GNOME Files crash. It hasn't
been called Nautilus in a while.

Ah, ok, when I used Ubuntu as my daily driver it was called like that
    and it stuck.

I remembered the name from back when. I installed 22.04 on a new mini in
2022 and I think it was 'Files' on the toolbar and I didn't give it any
more thought. idk when or why they changed the name.
