ALCON, the High Speed Adapter is NOT the 3117, there is no 3118 adapter,
and we are missing the 3117 Extension Unit [6456809].

All three option archives open with 7zip, but you get an error massage
when attempting to extract files. You get a zero byte file that is empty.

    3117 uses a special-mojo interface, the "3117 Adapter /A". If you have
the unobtanium 3117 Extension Unit, you can now use RS-232 -OR- RS-422A.

    3118 uses RS232-C -OR- RS-422A. There is no special-mojo "3118 Adapter /A"

    The 3119 uses a special-mojo interface, the "3119 Adapter /A"

Can someone do me a solid and extract the files? Sendt to me?

    Hi Louis !

No idea if there is an "3118 Adapter /A" -OR- this is just 3118 scanner drivers.
Since the 3118 is technically a bone stock serial device it should be
the scanner driver itself, which interfaces a software with the control
    over the devices functions.

OK, I sendt Louis a pair of ZIP files linked to my Google Drive. I
couldn't send one of the ZIP files directly because it contained files
with extensions that Google dislikes, linking via Drive bypasses the restriction.

The 3119 option disk should include the GSSCAN, which is a DOS-based
essential B/W and greyscale scanner program.

    At one time I had my 3119 run under Windows 3.1 (3.11 ? WfW ? WTF !!)
but it was a) slower and b) limited and c) crashed, when the computer
went sideways to do some other stuff in the Windows environment like
swapping out data to the harddisk.
However: the system used there was a PS/2 50Z with 2MB RAM and 60MB HD.
    Not a powerhouse ...

The 3193 is a high resolution, monochrome, portrait type, 15-inch CRT
display terminal. It attaches to IBM System/370, 43XX, 303X, 308X, and
3090 Processors via an IBM 3174 or 3274 Control Unit. The IBM 3117
Scanner with its Extension Unit feature and the IBM 3118 Scanner can be attached to the 3193.

I am not sure, I'm getting kontuzed, there is an OS/2 GDDM flavor.

So, GDDM- PCLK and OS2 enable the PS/2 to access GDDM that is running on
big iron. I don't see how to run an emulator to run GDDM on a PS/2 and

3270 Adapter /A? No idea of how the 3193 connects to big iron, 3270?

The 3193 hooks up to a 3174 or similar. That part is "standard
