    Hi,
Blast from the past. There's that message from Steven Hirsch 9 years
ago about the abandoned SPVHD project from C|-dric Peltier: (https://comp.sys.apple2.narkive.com/Nj1FPgoJ/open-source-floppy-emulator#post15)
I have all the wiring, construction information and firmware. Please
contact me privately and I'll arrange to get it to you. I'd rather not >release it publicly before confirming that Cedric has in fact
    abandoned the project.
Steven, would you want to publish those? I have the vague project of
making a daisy-chainable virtual HD, and this would help me get
started. I took notes of the source code at http://mirrors.apple2.org.za/Apple%20II%20Documentation%20Project/Peripherals/Disk%20Drives/Peltier%20SmartPortVHD/ROM%20Images/,
matching those with wiring info would be nice to make sure.

Update: Steven sent me the documentation he had, this is now publicly
    available at https://github.com/colinleroy/SPVHD/tree/main/doc
and should soon be mirrored at https://mirrors.apple2.org.za/Apple%20II%20Documentation%20Project/Peripherals/Disk%20Drives/Peltier%20SmartPortVHD/

It contains great resources for people wanting to understand the
    Smartport protocol.
