    From Chris Craig@chris@chriscraig.co.uk to comp.sys.acorn.networking on Fri Dec 10 16:58:32 2021
    From Newsgroup: comp.sys.acorn.networking

Is there a method to back up some of my thousands of Emails to CD or a USB stick. To keep as an archive that I could re-load & search at a later
    date?

It is not that I don't delete rubbish. It's a tribute to my ARMX6s filing system that I can still load and search some 30,000 of them but sooner or later the files might get corrupted.

Because of my efficiency my Messenger list has deleted it self after 28
days and there is little activity so I have lost the address

    Any suggestions much appreciated

    Chris

You can export into a file from within Messenger Pro > Choices > group management.

You can also save from any folder by highlighting the message(s) you want
to save and go to menu > selection > Save > raw messages

You can archive a snapshot of the entire !NewsDir (but be absolutely
sure to disable auto-expiry temporarily before you take the archive, or
it will start deleting itself the moment you extract it later!)

It's in Messenger Pro's iconbar menu, under the option to subscribe to the mailing list.
