• Printing on new computer

    Hi

I'm trying to set up the printers on a new RISC OS computer, to match the
ones I used on my ARMX6. Both use RO5.

I used !PS3, ps_duplex, and the lpr module.

I've managed to set up the first one which prints correctly from Ovation
Pro, but StrongED produces a series of Wimp error messages "Cannot print specified string", then freezes, needing alt-break to recover.

    Any thoughts?

Why not just transfer your settings/software from the old computer to the
    new ones.

When I tried that I kept getting error messages when !Printers started.

The weird thing is having OPro working and StrongED not working with the printer.

Turns out StrongED 4.69 works. The new computer was shipped with SE 4.70, which fails.
