• Base 64 decoder

Is there a 32 bit decoder for OS5? I used to have one my RiscPC but I
never got it to work on the ARMX6.

Attacher v1.05 claims to be 32-bit clean.

RiscLua has a library program called base64 which looks as if it can both encode and decode. I have not worked out how to use it, but someone more familiar with Lua than me (e.g. Gavin Wraith) could probably advise.

    Surprisingly enough it's called !Base64. It's in Internet.tools in OS5.

It does load up. The background is that on another mailing list some
members were getting what they described as "gobbledigook" but turned to
be the body of the message in Base 64 encoding.

So I copied and saved the b64 as a text file. I then found that there are quite a few converters on the web so the immediate problem was solved.

Thanks. I've now got !Base64 working (mirabile dictu) but !Attacher 1.02
just stiffs the computer. Looks like I need to update it.

    Interesting anomoly:

I've just checked to see if I have the latest version of !Attacher,
V1.05 and I have but when I run the program OS reports "internal error:
branch through zero". When I try an identical version of !Attacher,
V1.05 downloaded some while ago it runs correctly. Although The
!RunImage files are identical in size when comparing them in StrongED
    they are very different.
