• Color management issue with DPScan (Windows 11, alas)

    From Bruce Goatly@ss4@goatly.co.uk to comp.sys.acorn.apps on Sat Aug 23 14:24:08 2025
    From Newsgroup: comp.sys.acorn.apps

Apologies if this the wrong group for this... I've been away from
    newsgroups for a while.

I'm sure I've had to deal with this issue before, but it's cropped up again
on my Windows 11 PC after a rebuild (bah!).

Every time I try to load a JPEG into DPScan (v. 1.24, 8 Jan 2007) I come up with the error "the specified color management module is invalid.
(SelectCMM) (2010)". Obviously I can clear it nut it's an irritation I
didn't have before. Can anyone let me have the magic incantation, please?

    TIA.

I rarely use Windows, have you looked at this site, there are libraries
that may have disappeared from your OS.

If you go to http://www.triffid.co.uk/dstuff/dpsconfig.jpg there's an
image of my DPS settings that work okay.

That's much appreciated, Dave. Sadly, applying the settings doesn't seem to solve the problem - I suspect it's something buried in Windows
configuration that's been mangled. Oh well. As I said, it's an irritation
but I can live with it.

Thanks also to Jean-Michel; unfortunately I couldn't find anything there to help, but it was worth a look.

It's great to see the newsgroups still active and constructive after all
    this time!

    B.
