    Hi,

Iris often opens PDFs instead of downloading them so I have to resort to Netsurf.
How do I change this behaviour?
Can't see anything obvious in Choices.
    Ta,

You can download them from within Iris's PDF reader (I assume you have
version 1.037) There is a save button in the bar looks a bit like a folder with a little downwards arrow.

Alternatively, goto choices and then Startup button and change the choice.

Iris's PDF reader will render your PDFs much better then !PDF or !PDFTest.
I now use the Iris PDF reader by default as it is so much better.

Thanks Chris. I've got 1.037 now. I was on 1.033. Hadn't seen any news
    about an update.

Can't find a save button in the top bar.
From left to right with PDF open I have..
Green go back arrow, greyed out go forward arrow, Refresh arrows, Home
icon, scale icon, window with URL in, star, menu for URLs, green arrow.
At top of PDF I have green dot for sidebar with pages listed, box for
page number, of total, Page width.
    That's it. No save button.

Alternatively, goto choices and then Startup button and change the
    choice.

Changed that to Claim PDFs Never. Made no difference.

    Tried that. Good innit?

You are looking in the wrong place! At the top of displayed PDF is a bar mostly in white on the right hand side you should see a number of little icons, and the save button is the one to the right of the Print button.
hover over it with your mouse and it tell you.

I can send a screen shot to you by email if it helps.

Did you restart Iris for the change to take effect and did you remember to 'Save' the change.

As an aside, I noticed from your email headers you are still on RISC OS
5.23 that is now pretty old now, 5.30/5.31 are current versions.

Also Messanger Pro is now on v9.03

Aha! I found the buttons by hovering over various places in the white
bar. Initially they are white on white so are invisible. Hovering over
them turns them grey and discernible. Is your's the same? Is there an alternative interface with a better design?

    Yes

That header's weird. I'm on R5.31 and using Pluto, not Messenger Pro.

Fortunately the header of the message that Chris H replied to clearly said
