Recently BWW released GCC 9.2 to the Netlabs RPM repository (http://rpm.netlab.org). THis is based on the GCC version from Paul Smedley.

This GCC update was needed to compile the webkit.dll. See update newsletter 10 and 11 on https://articles.os2voice.org for more details. Also more updates where done to the LIBCX DLL's.

The project is a very big one and we as a community have one developer at BWW working on this project: Dmitriy Kuminov.
Yes its taking longer, however Firefox 45 is starting to become less usefull with by the day. It was released in 2017 by de Mozilla foundation.
