    rtl_433 is handy for picking up and decoding a number of devices. I use it
    to get the outside temperature and humidity from a helpful neighbor's
    weather station. I've no idea which helpful neighbor.

    LOL, yes, in my case my own weather sensor ;-)

    You need a higher antenna for boats if inland.... those are not high enough !

    I'm about 400 miles inland so it would be a very high antenna, perhaps on
    the summit of one of the 7000' peaks.
