Currently, I use a relatively high-end sRGB calibrated display monitor
which, I believed, would be a good future-proof investment.
But now the wide color gamut standards of PCI-P3 and Display P3
are becoming more common with desktop hardware.

Does anyone use DCI-P3 displays with GNU/Linux?
Supposedly, for web publishing sRGB is still the standard but it
seems that browsers are beginning to accept wide-gamut images and
video.
I need to do more research on this subject before I commit to spending
$1500 on a wide-gamut monitor. Also, DCI-P3 monitors are all 4K resolution
and that's way too big for me.
However, if anyone can contribute some meaningful comments they
would be welcome.
