    Looks like the eZ80 will be around for a while, though. Has anybody
    tried replacing a Z80 with an eZ80? Was it complicated? Did id work?

    Me too.
    The original Z80 and peripherals were like Lego.
    They just snapped together with just address decoding
    when using interrupt mode 2.

    Looks like the eZ80 will be around for a while, though. Has anybody
    tried replacing a Z80 with an eZ80? Was it complicated? Did id work?

    The eZ80 is very different architecture, pinout and bus interface :-(
    Not as simple and fun as the Z80.
    I tried several eZ80 kits only to give up.
    I was discouraged by the lack of Zilog support
    particularly as the yahoo groups errata & bug reports piled up.
