I have put all the MWC sources on the 4.0.74 system and build them.
Development tools (compiler, assembler, linker, librian, lex, yacc, m4, make ...) and runtime libraries are extensively tested by using the self compiled versions instead of the distributed ones. That makes sure the system is self contained and everything can be build/modified/improved from the available sources.
All MWC sources are under /usr/src/sys in their dedicated subdirectories. Makefiles are adjusted or initially provided to build the stuff in place, a clean rule was added to Makefiles missing them. RCS is installed so the history of all the sources can be examined, changes I made are checked in.
