• WearOS 7 and Android17

I have a Pixel Watch 4 and a Pixel Phone 8a, the watch updated maybe
three weeks ago, I forced the phone to upgrade this week.

In terms of permissions, the Google Health app needs permissions to read
body sensors (or there's no point to having it) but previously I had
denied the Health app notification permission*

Anyway, now it refuses to track an exercise session, because it insists
it needs notification permission as well as sensor permission.

Anyone else seeing similar? I think the problem is with the Health app
on the watch, as i think it started with WearOS7, rather than with
    Android17.

[*] because otherwise if I rouse even slightly from sleep, it thinks
that's the end of my sleep session, and sends a vibrate/beep/summary to
the watch and the phone ... waking me up further when my attitude is
"Oi! I'm trying to get back to sleep here".
