I haven't used RSS feeds in a long time simply because all these would

Feeds that are configured to serve the full content. Also, I think I've
read somewhere that there's a limitation in RSS that makes it so that
you can only serve either a summary or the full content, but that Atom
    allows this.

I do most of my feed reading via Gmane and Feedbase, and to be fair, for
a few sites, even if I have to get to the full content separately, it
still helps to have the read-unread tracking of the newsreader.

No, though the name "description" for the element which contains
the text in RSS suggests it doesn't contain the full article, the
RSS standard states that either usage is valid:

"A channel may contain any number of <item>s. An item may represent
a "story" -- much like a story in a newspaper or magazine; if so
its description is a synopsis of the story, and the link points to
the full story. An item may also be complete in itself, if so, the
description contains the text (entity-encoded HTML is allowed; see
examples), and the link and title may be omitted."
    https://cyber.harvard.edu/rss/rss.html#hrelementsOfLtitemgt

There are certainly still some websites that provide full articles
in their RSS feeds, even some fairly new websites (perhaps just
because the authors don't even know that their blog platform
    generates them).

I do most of my feed reading via Gmane and Feedbase, and to be fair, for
a few sites, even if I have to get to the full content separately, it
still helps to have the read-unread tracking of the newsreader.

True, but I do tend towards ignoring the ones that just have short
summaries. That the Australian state media organisation, the ABC,
just offers single-sentence summaries in RSS is particularly
annoying, since they don't even have ads on their webpages anyway.
Plus they use clickbait titles. But they wanted to discontinue
feeds entirely a few years ago, so I guess I'm supposed to feel
thankful for still getting that much.

Sorry, I thought you said "summary of the full content". Yes it
seems you can't have both summary and full content in different
elements. Though I don't imagine people would choose to offer the
former over the latter if it was just for want of a way to offer
    both.

Are there any RSS feeds that don't do this?

Decent feed readers can be set to grab the page at the link and present that
to you instead of whatever summary is contained within the feed. FreshRSS,
for instance, can do that in a manner customizable for each website.
