From Newsgroup: comp.mail.sendmail

poststats: /var/lib/sendmail/sendmail.st: No such file or directory

I don't have that file and I don't know what it is for. Anybody have
any ideas?

Thanks Claus, I found that in your book yesterday. Any chance there
will be a 5th edition? Lot of little changes since 2007 and 8.14.

No idea - you would have to ask the real author.

However, I suggest to use the fine documentation which comes
with sendmail.

PS: my newsserver "lost" the other thread (about SASL mechs?), not
sure how I can access it and narkive.com seems to have stopped
getting new articles a while ago.

No problem, turns out I was missing the libsasl2-modules library. It
doesn't work without it :-)

Neither web browser is "faulty" wrt to this problem.

I can confirm that the messages are missing when I use lynx.
I will contact the operator of narkive.
