• sendmail 8.18 error message?

    I don't have that file and I don't know what it is for. Anybody have
    any ideas?

    Thanks Claus, I found that in your book yesterday. Any chance there
    will be a 5th edition? Lot of little changes since 2007 and 8.14.

    No idea - you would have to ask the real author.

    However, I suggest to use the fine documentation which comes
    with sendmail.

    PS: my newsserver "lost" the other thread (about SASL mechs?), not
    sure how I can access it and narkive.com seems to have stopped
    getting new articles a while ago.

    No problem, turns out I was missing the libsasl2-modules library. It
    doesn't work without it :-)

    I can confirm that the messages are missing when I use lynx.
