• Error 411 when sending a message on Usenet with Alpine (Android/Termux)

    Hi!

I'm trying to use Alpine as a newsgroup app on my Android. I installed
it on termux, and can without problem connect to my server (Eternal
    September) and read messages.

But when I try to send a message, Alpine refuses, saying "Error posting message: 441 Address in From header fielrCa" (as it's on my little
smartphone screen, I can't see the end of the message).

I presume the problem comes from the fact that I didn't give Alpine an address, as I don't intend to use it for regular emailing, but I have no
idea how to do that. What should I do?

    Thanks!

I found the solution. Even without giving the
infos for the SMTP server one can give a false name
    for the personal server.

Alpine freeze after the sending, but it works :-)
