Personally, I've been all over the place. When I was a teen I could spend hours equalizing my shitty earphones trying to get the sound "just right". When I started to have some money and better gear, I moved away from them, appreciating the characteristic sound of my equipment. But now, having discovered the convolution equalizer, I once again can't imagine living without one.
Sure, Denzel messes some dudes up. That's cool, I guess. But he's still a gigantic talent and he is wasting years of his career by teaming with Fuqua. The first movie was so bad, if you need a reason why, just rewatch the scene where Denzel catches a fly ball in the company softball game. Jesus. Cringe-worthy, stupid scenes coming from the woodwork in this movie.
I have tried multiple things, watched many Eq tutorials, read books, articles, tried different approaches , feels like I read whole reddit on music production. As time goes by I feel I improved a lot since I started music production -. my volume balance , compression and stereo field management is way better than it used to be. I couldn't say the same about my frequency balance. I do struggle a lot with it and often find it best to not use eq at all, cause I feel it sounds better without it.
So I gave this new "Find your equalizer" feature a shot in the headphones connect app, and now I'm in music heaven. At the cost of high treble volume, not only did the new custom EQ boost the bass significantly, but I feel like it also improved the instrument separation to near-audiophile levels. I can hear more instruments now and the drums and percussion instruments feel more "boomy". I can't even describe it. I feel like I'm right in the middle of all the music. At the same time I feel like there are subwoofers right next to my ears. It's awesome.
I started lurking here about a year ago and got pretty soon excited about possibilities of using equalizer to improve headphones. Then I got very disappointed of the lack of existing headphone eq settings. Disappointment turned into resolution and this was my reaction.
I feel like the equalizer is too weak, it does 15 flat damage and the durability isn't that great. It does ignore the armor of enemies but like, it only does 15 damage, what's the difference with using the equalizer and a normal gun? They'd do almost the same damage anyway. Another is that you can mod other guns to make it better +dmg or +stability. The equalizer on the other hand, u hold for 3 secs the bullets fly to heaven. Maybe they'll add mods for the weapon though, and it may be worth it if it drops from sunken chests everytime you open one at higher reputation levels. I guess it's too early to judge the weapon since it's new, hopefully it gets better tho.
I'm sorry, this question has probably already been asked before. I have tried looking this question up but couldn't find anything useful. I can't image that there is no option out there where I can equalize SoundCloud for iOS? I know the app doesn't have an equalizer built-in, but isn't there any other way to equalize SoundCloud?
I have a Bose headset but that app doesn't have an equalizer either. I'm currently thinking of downloading everything I want to listen and use Apple Music to play it but that's just not convenient...
I've decided to upgrade my speakers to the (hopefully) much better Edifier S351DB. My question is if I should use an equalizer (like the one from Realtek Audio Console) on speakers that should sound great out of the box, or if I should just leave the speakers alone in terms of equalizing.
However when I use pulseaudio-equalizer I get a lot of stutters in the audio. Even when I just minimize the media player or even chrome webpages, it will stutter. Raising and lowering the volume will also result in stuttering.
Update 04/23/2019 - u/Jeb500 updated the equalizers and noticed that by adding 0.99999 to the default value of 30.0 ensures that max levels dinos spawn in more consistently, I've update pastebin with his changes. Thank you!
I read a lot before getting my Fairbuds XL this morning, and a lot of negative points. One of them is the lack of a proper equalizer, just a few presets. Imagine my surprise when I saw a very nice 5-band equalizer in the app, on which you can not only adjust the gain for each band, but also its frequency!
    Hey Folks,
Previously I found a YouTube video with a deep explanation of certain settings in the equalizer tab related to Warzone 2.
I`ve been using the same settings for the new Warzone map, but it became confusing. To be exact on the old map of Warzone 2 footsteps, unopened boxes sound were obvious, I could guess their exact location even through walls or other buildings, but now it is simply super confusing.
Is anyone else facing the same issue? Or does this happen because the map is completely new and I need to explore every corner to get a clear idea of possible locations?
Enhancements - this one is a bit more complicated than the rest. Vocal Clarity is straight trash, always keep it off. Bass Boost can help in certain games, but again, better results can be achieved through the custom EQ, so I'd stick to that instead. As for sound normalization, this is where I'd recommend making different profiles. In certain games where the audio mixing is not great, it can really tighten things up and give a much more enjoyable audio experience. The same can be said for movies, TV shows & online content like YouTube videos. As for music, if the songs are commercial songs that have been produced well, normalization will take away the dynamics by trying to keep everything loud. Of course this is personal preference, but if you want to keep it as the artists/producers intended, keep it off for music. I generally leave it off for everything except for a few competitive FPS games that don't have the greatest audio mix.
I've found 3 equalizers in the past 2 hours of Clap Trap Revolution dlc. I've never seen the gun before (I haven't played since I was 13 or so) but now I'm getting it from almost every possible source. Anyone else have this happen?
Equalizer APO ( EDIT: not the official link, download is old version - use this instead: ) is an open-source graphical equalizer for Microsoft Windows. (Thank you u/westcoastweenie for dropping a hint in the firmware update thread!) With it, you can program an equalizer for the Pimax sound device.
So yes, I guess this allows me to listen to my YouTube music library with an equalizer on iOS. However, this is very far from perfect, as of course I'd much rather be using the actual YouTube Music app. Secondly, I believe the 'High Definition' setting in Musi caps at 192kbps, whereas YouTube Music 'High' quality is supposedly 256kbps.
As per title I'm looking for a good equalizer that works with Spotify. Been using local files with Poweramp and some cheap earbuds that sound pretty good for casual use. Having then used Spotify yesterday was shocked at how bad it sounded and yes I use premium, best quality settings etc. When using the OnePlus equalizer with Spotify I can't turn off the enhancements and use just the equalizer which make it sound worse again. I have used viper 4 android before but don't want to root this time. Seems that Spotify are going to be shooting themselves in the foot by not supplying a decent equalizer or at least tone controls within the app and not moving into any lossless formats anytime soon. Even at 320 MP3 the sound is pretty poor, yet the same format albums through Poweramp using local files sound pretty good.
Are there some resources that I can find that show you how to plot and or calculate the output of a graphic equalizer? I'm trying to find equations that I can use to do this so I can calculate the average output gain across a filter's band based on its peak gain. Any resources would be appreciated.
I don't know what I did, or how I did it. But I somehow screwed up my old equalizer-settings. Might have resetted because I got some new In-Ear Headphones. (Sony wf-1000xm4) And I, of course, had no screenshot.
Since the equalizer 3 trailer has come out (dakota fanning is in it) my theory is Creasy didn't die at the end of man on fire he was saved by whatever government agency he worked for, given a new identity (robert McCall) and told never to go back. He's wife was dead in man on fire like the equalizer too.
My laptop's (Lenovo Yoga) audio coming from the headphone jack isn't all that great, and there's no built in equalizer like there should be. I'm looking for a good free equalizer that could increase the balance of my music. Preferably one that is an easy download and doesn't require a lot of steps to set up. Thanks!
Some time ago an user posted here his equalizer configuration of his audio software and i try it and was absolutely awesome. Yesterday i boot up my pc and lost that post and settings, anyone have it or can share his equalizer settings?
