The tests from fpio-test.4th for testing conversion of decimal input of floating point input in a recognized decimal string format to
double-precision binary64 format have been ported to C and Fortran 90 programs. Source code and build instructions are provided for several C
and Fortran compilers.
GNU C (gcc) and GNU Fortran (gfortran) pass all of the tests.
