    Interesting read about NASA's shuttle disasters, and how management's pig-headedness resulted in the deaths of those aboard Challenger and
    Columbia. had they heeded the advice of their engineers those deaths and
    the resultant delays in the US space program would have been avoided.

    built in 7 segments that had to be bolted together and sealed with O rings

    SBS was showing lots of space documentaries last month and one
    covered that in detail. Maybe still on their streaming website,
    if you use that. I found the episodes about accidents on Mir and
    the ISS most interesting since they don't seem to get covered as
    often.

    I remeber being out in a desert mining camp when Chernobyl happened 3
    months later, and some wag responded to the news saying "It was the O
    rings!"
