Not for the medical treatment of the victims, the cost
of the cops collating the evidence against her, the
cost of the prosecution, the cost of the legal system,
what the jury received, or the immense cost of
keeping her in jail for as long as she is kept in jail tho

    Copilot says..

"Erin PattersonrCOs legal fees appear to be secured through a mortgage
over her home, which was lodged by her legal representatives, Doogue &
George, shortly before her trial began. This is a common legal practice
in high-profile criminal cases, allowing the law firm to ensure payment
for their services by registering a financial interest in the clientrCOs property.

However, things got more complicated after her conviction. The Director
of Public Prosecutions (DPP) filed a restraining order on the same
property, aiming to freeze it and potentially forfeit it to compensate victimsrCO families.

This has sparked a legal tug-of-war over who has priorityrCothe law firm
with the mortgage or the DPP with the restraining order.

So while itrCOs not publicly confirmed who is directly paying her lawyers
out of pocket, the mortgage arrangement suggests that her legal team is relying on the value of her property to cover costs. It's a fascinating intersection of criminal and property law."

In some Sth American countries the cops do the justice, without the
grasping thieving lawyers, the sensational press, the associated
accountants and it's all done expeditiously and very quietly. Same
happens in the Philippines over the drug barons and their well-paid
    lawyers and crook politicians.
