list" basis in that suspicious behavior would move one up the list.

Dealing with a deceased estate, bank told me I should get a TFN for the
estate account. Which is strange because they don't pay any interest on
those accounts.

has died would usually still be a taxpayer
and to catch those who aren't who keep
their hand out for the pension etc after
that should have stopped when they died

Trouble is deciding what is suspicious behavior

Much easier to keep track of those who have died
because it isnt really very practical to just let the
corpse turn into a mummy in a back room and
keep pocketing the pension etc
