Something like it certainly. But I'm not sure whether Trump/Musk
understand that efficiency means providing the same services using
fewer resources rather that providing fewer services with fewer
resources. Politicians usually manage to do the latter far more
    easily than the former.

I don't watch YouTube for news so haven't seen the vid.

they should. they're both businessmen so they understand that maximizing efficiency equates to increased profitability. or in this case better government and much less monetary waste.

Politicians usually manage to do the latter far more

politicians use greater resources ie. bureaucrats, money, than necessary
for the services they provide. it's what DOGE is addressing.

the absolute waste and blatant mismanagement is staggering. ie. paying contractors for contracts no longer in existence, paying benefits to

A business needs to keep services going anyway so people keep
paying for them. The tricky part with government is bureaucrats
can get away with cutting services and claim it's the only way to
save money to fit the budget they've been given. Figuring out how
to do things efficiently means they'd actually have to do some
    work.

Musk needs to make sure the services keep going even while the
budgets drop or the finances will look good but the results will be
    very unpopular.
