• Dumping old pallets.

    From Peter Jason@pj@jostle.com to aus.legal on Thu Feb 20 07:09:06 2025
    From Newsgroup: aus.legal

A pile of old rubbishy pallets of varying sizes has appeared on the
verge (nature strip) outside our factory quite next to our entrance.
    To whom should I complain?
    The police?
    The council?
    The MP?

Why not go straight to the top and complain to Donald Trump?

Complain? I'd take them home to use the timber for building things.
If they're too rotten for that, someone else would want them for
    firewood.

What's the world coming to when people can't give away old pallets
    without someone getting upset?

    The police?

    Nothing to do with them.

    The council?

They likely won't care and may charge you to remove them.

You could try your local govt councellor but I have forgotten
whether you lot have single member council electorates now

    The MP?

Which MP, nothing to do with the federal MP even with an election due soon

Technically nothing to do with the state MP either but some do do
    something.

You could put them on one of your local facebook
buy swap sell groups or free groups. Doesnt cost
you anything to do that even if you have never use
facebook before and you don't have to use your
real details. I can do it for you if you don't want

They're the long sort, very difficult to take away. Some people have cannibalized them but the rain & sun have warped and twisted the
    timbers.

    To whom should I complain?
    The police?
    The council?
    The MP?

You could put them on one of your local facebook
buy swap sell groups or free groups. Doesnt cost
you anything to do that even if you have never use
facebook before and you don't have to use your
real details. I can do it for you if you don't want
to do it yourself but I would need a real physical
address. the email is real and hasnt been munged.

I have never used facebook, (too complicated)

Nothing complicated about it and I have told you I am happy to do it >>>>>> for
    you

    and for selling stuff I
use Usenet, with an attached image. I sell stuff to likely NGs >>>>>>> this
way. I'll check out some timber/hobby related NGs.

You will get FAR more exposure on facebook

And yes I can trivially do photos too

I'm having the same adventures with face book as before, which is
logging in. I am loath to go "reset your password" for the nth time
because I'm sure it will not stick!
Yet when I receive emails from relatives I seem to get in without
trouble without a password at all, but by "clicking on an image on the >>>> front page' I thought ID was linked to the email address of which I
have but one. I think I will have far less trouble with tumblr &
    flickr, all giving good images.

Like I said, I am happy to post it for you and I dont have any trouble
    using facebook

Face book seems to be for families and their adventures.

Facebook is in fact about FAR more than just that.

I can't bear punching yet another tar baby.

Like I said, I am happy to post it for you and I dont have any trouble
    using facebook

Just the other day a customer was crying on my shoulder about her face >>>> book account on which she runs her complete advertising, but was
locked out for some reason unknown to anybody....all that graphics
works in suspension. Who needs it! It's too stressful and I can
sell stuff on Ebay too. Bah!

you need a physical address so that people know whether it is
close enough to be worth it for them, what you want price wise
or whether they are free to help themselves and how to contact
you if you want them to pay for them and how to pay like PayID
