I've been trying to get onto Pirate Bay for a couple of days and I
receive a 'Time out' each time. I've tried turning on and off my VPn,
    but I can't get through.

I'm using this address: thepiratebay.org I've used this address for some
time with great success, but today.

    Any thoughts?

**Thanks for that. Except for the annoying popups, it seems to work.

If the link I use doen't work for you, your isp

He's talking about going to pirate bay to search for torrents,
not the torrent starting the download in your torrent client

Works fine for me, so you isp is deliberately stopping
you using pirate bay. Who is your isp ? Works fine for
me on superloop. When I sent a torrent link to a mate
of mine on dodo, it didn't work for him, don't think he
ever told me the exact error message. He is now with
tpg but on their 5G service, not the NBN anymore
because he's in a big block of flats which has FTTP
but the comms room gets flooded in heavy rain so
the NBN service is fucked and the strata comittee
won't pay the substantial money involved in fixing it

That would make sense if you're using an old web browser and the
site will only allow connections using the latest encryption
cyphers that your browser's not new enough to support.

Alternatively you might have security settings ramped up in your
browser so _it_ only connects using the best encryption, but that
website only supports older encryption methods. You'd probably know
all about it if you'd done that though.
