Can anyone tell me why I keep getting this message on Websites that I
used to be able to access all the time? This particular one was from:

You don't have permission to access
    "http://www.wrh.noaa.gov/zoa/mwmap3.php?" on this server.
    Reference #18.c96bdc17.1779560088.f42cdc62 https://errors.edgesuite.net/18.c96bdc17.1779560088.f42cdc62

I'm not using any VPNs, nor am I using any firewall (to my knowledge
anyway) Using FF v115.21 OeSR 64-bit, but also got it in Chrome
    v109.0.5414.120 (Official Build) (64-bit).

I have also gotten it trying to access Kroger.com:

You don't have permission to access "http://www.kroger.com/" on this
    server.
    Reference #18.6624c317.1779560659.1270ce75 https://errors.edgesuite.net/18.6624c317.1779560659.1270ce75

This is really weird because I can log into: https://www.kroger.com/account/dashboard/

In the past, the websites were set up to auto-promote you to https.
But an https protocol error, should not be translated/converted into

Unlike Internet Explorer, the crypto channel is part of the Firefox

    Win7Pro with FF here,

Could the original poster explain how to get from the site root to the

if bypassing the site links somehow blocked access.

    Thank you.

    Thank you.

NOAA used to provide a Site that would give weather for airports. (http://www.wrh.noaa.gov) It appears that since they have revamped
their Site, that function is no longer available. Closest I can find
is https://www.weather.gov/ which is almost useless. https://airportweather.com/ looks a little better.

    Thank you.

NOAA used to provide a Site that would give weather for airports. (http://www.wrh.noaa.gov) It appears that since they have revamped
their Site, that function is no longer available. Closest I can find

With SeaMonkey 2.53.23, I can get the home page. However, some images
    are greyed-out.

With Firefox 115.36.0esr, I too get "Access Denied".

Aside from the fact that the Kroger server obviously does erroneous
browser sniffing, the Web site has non-standard HTML. The home page has
    84 HTML errors.

We do not shop at Ralph's, a Kroger subsidiary; so I will not pursue
this further. If you want to pursue this, I suggest you search for
Kroger's CEO and the corporate address. Then send the CEO a letter
(paper, postage, US Postal Service), pointing out that they are
rejecting a significant audience for their Web site. Also, point out
that the non-standard HTML might impact potential customers who are
visually handicapped using audio browsers, thus violating the Americans
with Disabilities Act (ADA). (Several years ago, the Target Corporation
had to pay $6,000,000 to settle an ADA lawsuit over its non-standard Web
    site.)

How does it feel, to be using your "last computer" ?

I'm surprised customers are not writing their own browsers :-)
I love to do battle with the "Just a Moment"
status of a CloudFlare block. The CloudFlare operator was
lamenting that Agentic AI traffic now exceeds human traffic.
Well, bud, you're the asshole that made that possible.
Here, have a "Just a Moment". They're free and yours
for thinking you could use the Internet.

Sourceforge.net seems to be using that service now.

Another of my favorite messages, is "we have detected abnormal activity".
Yes, that's me, breathing oxygen. Quite quite abnormal.

I even got a commercial site yesterday, reporting "Error" when
any search at all was attempted. I tested all my browsers, and
not-a-one would work. Not even MSEdge. Spiffy. Here, have an "Error".

Some day, they will build an altar, entitled

    "Just the right behavior"

as an example for the citizens to aspire to. You will look
at the altar, the web page that renders, and say things
like "how did they do that?" and "why doesn't it work for me?".

It will seem like only yesterday.

Some day, the CloudFlare guy will be boasting "there don't
seem to be any humans at all on the Internet". Victory!

Have you found any way to bypass those ass holes?

Sourceforge.net seems to be using that service now.

Another of my favorite messages, is "we have detected abnormal activity". >Yes, that's me, breathing oxygen. Quite quite abnormal.

I even got a commercial site yesterday, reporting "Error" when
any search at all was attempted. I tested all my browsers, and
not-a-one would work. Not even MSEdge. Spiffy. Here, have an "Error".

I was using a ScoreStream widget in Firefox to monitor the Dodger
games. It suddenly decided that it couldn't connect anymore. Contacted ScoreStream and we spent two days trying different browsers, different
user agents and even a different computer with Win 10. Also tried
iFrame instead of a script. In every case I would get various forms of
"can't connect" messages. They kept saying they hadn't made any
changes. The last error message that I reported to them was

"Firefox Cant Open this Page" to protect your security,
scorestream.com will not allow Firefox to display the page if another
site has embedded it. To see this page, you need to open it in a new
    window.

It will work in the new window, but it's a PITA to have to do so!

If I try it in Chrome, all it says is "Scorestream.com refused to
connect". I haven't heard anything from them since! I finally had to
wind up using 365 scores.com which is very poor, but at least it
    works.

Victory!
    Just A Moment.

As I told the scorestream folks, if this security bullshit gets any
worse, nobody will be able to access anything anymore, and then it
    will be totally secure!!

No, that's not him, that's *me*. And, no, he's not a socky of mine.
He's not even my type. :)

To answer the question, it feels like using the penultimate computer,
only a thousand future quid cheaper. When this one dies, I'll stop
(and don't you wish that were so very soon?) and the planet will
simply have to run without my input. No one will ever notice.

There ain't no fucking way I'm ever having Microsoft's spying malware "telemetry" or bloody "A.I." in my house.

I don't have a "smart phone" for the same reasons.

I'm surprised customers are not writing their own browsers :-)

    Me, I'm too lazy.

I love to do battle with the "Just a Moment"
status of a CloudFlare block. The CloudFlare operator was
lamenting that Agentic AI traffic now exceeds human traffic.

That was always going to happen with some sort of automation. Running
a robot is cheap, easy and faster than human thought [not that that is
any great feat most of the time]. Running a human is expensive,
    difficult and bloody slow.

You can have a million robots running from one box but only one human
    per mouse.

It's like email spam. Automate it and your average email is going to
be spam to a certainty of just about unity. The thin scraping of real, human-generated emails is just about a statistical error.

Well, bud, you're the asshole that made that possible.

We never should have permitted I.S.P's. That's what set the rot in.
Then not jailing those lawyers and taking all of their properties and
incomes as proceeds of criminal activities was the second, smaller
    error.

I don't know what we could have jailed them *for* but their lead in
the creation of spam is certainly some sort of criminal.

Here, have a "Just a Moment". They're free and yours
for thinking you could use the Internet.

Sourceforge.net seems to be using that service now.

Cool, thank you. Yet another site to add to the blocked list. :)

Another of my favorite messages, is "we have detected abnormal activity". >Yes, that's me, breathing oxygen. Quite quite abnormal.

Yerp, I get that if I open some things on a lappy after using the
desktop for ages. Apparently, we're only allowed to use one device on
each account. And, if we use a lappy, we're not permitted to actually
    *move* it.

"For ages" means "about twice" to some sites. :)

I even got a commercial site yesterday, reporting "Error" when
any search at all was attempted. I tested all my browsers, and

at the altar, the web page that renders, and say things
like "how did they do that?" and "why doesn't it work for me?".

There's a local bus service. Each day I wait for it around lunchtime,
two or three of them go missing. Other services arrive past my stop
regularly. Some services have two or even three of the same route
running up one another's arses four or five times while *my* service
    just vanishes.

I've asked. No one has an explanation. No one knows why this happens.
    *I* do.

It's because they hate me. Because I don't go to their church, vote
for their peculator, worship their ball-kickers and eat mayo and
    Marmite.

I'm a monster and they hate me so they inconvenience me as much as
they can without getting slammed by the local council for harming
    everyone else along with me.

The lesson is: that is why it never works for you. :)

It will seem like only yesterday.

The most secure system is one with no network, wife, bluetooth, dial-up, or other connection options, runs on batteries, inside a
faraday cage inside a "secure" facility. For added security, it is
    never turned on.

Okay, not very useful, but definitely secure.
