    yt-dlp fork with in-between releases and a custom Windows XP build. Also
    Python 3.14 builds for Windows 7.

    yt-dlp is a feature-rich command-line audio/video downloader with support
    for thousands of sites. The project is a fork of youtube-dl based on the now inactive youtube-dlc.

    Command-line program to download videos from YouTube.com and other video
    sites.

    FYI, make sure to get the file whose name ends with "_win7" or "_winXP". The ones without any, are for Windows 8+ only.

    Weird, I get a 406 under both XP and Linux. Github has been
    practically inaccessible for a while.
    Same for Sourceforge, was blocked by Cloudfare for months (as
    was Majorgeeks) but they work again now.

    When I use a Russian proxy I can both see and download the
    files.

    Does that look about right? Github has an issue with Brazil.

    YouTube keeps changing in order to defeat yt-dlp. Will these forks be
    updated accordingly?

    That's a problem for the forked/original yt-dlp. The fork is mainly for
    making the application usable in Win7/WinXP. It heavily based on the forked/original yt-dlp.

    YouTube support is a problem. Yes. And it's getting worse and worse. But
    AFAIK, so far, yt-dlp is the most reliable one. Even if YouTube support is
    just no longer applicable, it's still reliable for other video hosting
    sites.

    For a couple of months I could not get it work, but today it's working
    again.
    I have 3DYD 1.26.1 for x86 (so 32 bit)
    with the win7 file from yt-dlp.

    It took some time (I'm always losing my way on github)
    to find the right file, but it was worth it!
