Can anyone post to news groups?

Yes (although there are some moderated groups that don't accept
submissions because they are inactive or are only for posting
    announcements)

If you're having any problems, let us know the details and someone might
    be able to help.

    Thanks,

It has been a while since I posted anything. I was not sure I had my setup configured to send out messages.

Should I configure a NOSPAM in my address?

You don't even need to write your address here. You could, for example,
write a fake one such as lucas.heuman@example.com.

    Thanks,

I'll have to work on fixing my Usenet configuration. I am using some
    bulletin board software to connect.

    Maybe?

I don't actually know how many spammers are still trawling Usenet for
email addresses. Twenty years ago, posting with a valid email address
would get you on an occasional spam list, but Usenet is more obscure now
and it may not be so much of a problem.

A valid address may help in some rare cases: for example, if you try to
post to a moderated group that no longer has a moderator, you will
usually get an auto-reply to let you know, but this won't happen if you
    used an invalid address.
