• [OT] Thunderbird under Linux Mint

I recently set up a desktop with the newest version of Linux Mint -
version 22.3. I just set up Thunderbird to work with Usenet. It is
completely unusable. The threads are collapsed, and there's no way to
have them fold out like I am used to.

I had imagined that I eventually would upgrade my main computer, but now
I have pushed that idea out of my mind.

I have a system backup (identical copy) so if it breaks down I hope I
can install the old system on a new computer. If not, then I am screwed.

Pan works. Takes a bit of getting used to. I tried TB on the same setup.
Great for email, but lousy NNTP.

I'll try it again. It behaved strangely on this computer (older Linux).

I have Thunderbird (well, Betterbird) running udner Linux Mint 22.1 on
    my portable without any problems.

Have you fiddled with the display options?

(Betterbird is no different to Thunderbird. It is a more 'debugged'
    version of TB.)

Why don't you try asking for advice in alt.comp.software.thunderbird?
