    with returning S50 players, but this interview with Matt Van Wagenen has

    This interview was a hell of a lot better than the similar one Dalton
    did with Jeff the other day. Jeff gave a lot of nonanswers as far as I'm concerned. I'm not surprised that Matt wanted Cochran to play again.
    Jeff's full of shit when he said they didn't want anyone from the 20s
    because they had so many returning players seasons back then. They
    wanted Cochran and/or Andrea, but both said "no." Too bad they didn't
    stick with Abi.

    Matt talking about getting more field producers to conduct confessionals
    was interesting. BB did the same starting a number of years back to help
    speed up the production process. Now there's a DR upstairs as well as
    the original one downstairs. TV viewers probably think there's just the
    one as they vote in the downstairs DR.

    They apparently rejected Abi because they consider her to be
    "mean-spirited" which, to be fair, is kind of how she presents. At
    least he and Probst are consistent in their party line that they only
    want players who were "joyful" about playing the game. I am actually perfectly fine with Abi not returning.

    And I have no problem with Cochran not returning. He's sort of become
    part of the show's infrastructure anyway

    Interesting that BB has two DRs now. I hadn't heard that before.
    Having more producers doing Survivor confessionals is fine as long as
    they are all consistent with one another in their questioning and
    communicate with one another.
